The Sri Lanka Christian Academics Network (SLCAN) is an independent network of Academics who seek to explore the responsibility that Academics have towards their disciplines, their students, their universities and their society from a Christian perspective. SLCAN is an inter-denominational Network and is open to all academics in Sri Lanka who consider themselves as followers of Christ.
- To support Christian academics in developing a Christian worldview, including their discipline and their role as academics.

The Sri Lanka Christian Academics Network (SLCAN) is an initiative of the Fellowship of Christian University Students (FOCUS). FOCUS (www.focus.lk) is an umbrella movement of Christian undergraduate fellowships and graduates who seek to proclaim the Good News of Jesus, living it out in public commitment to truth, justice and integrity, and proceeding from a loving community in which social barriers are being broken down by the risen Christ. FOCUS is registered under the Companies Act No.17 of 1982 and has been affiliated to the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES – https://ifesworld.org/en/) since 1987.
